The new textile year starts with Heimtextil in Frankfurt: the most important global event for interior textiles, interior design and textile trends. With more than 60,000 visitors and almost 3,000 exhibitors from 64 countries, Heimtextil, which will be held this year from 10 to 13 January 2023, is definitely the most important trade fair in the industry and its positioning at the beginning of the year lends itself very well to the presentation of all the textile trends for the 2023/2024 season. Manufacturers, interior designers, architects and traders are the main visitors, curious to discover new trends in the sector and make new contacts.

In addition to the trade fair for interior textiles, every year Heimtextil is an excellent platform for discussions with industry experts, market positioning and new business opportunities in the textile industry. With this year's theme 'Textile Matter', the fair aims to highlight four important paths to the circular economy in the textile industry, namely sourcing, processing, end-of-life and reuse of textiles. There will be many in-depth talks scheduled to present and discuss sustainability in the textile sector, and I can announce right away that textile hemp will also be presented! Let's take a look now at the details of these 4 days entirely dedicated to textiles!

Heimtextil Conference: Sleep & more

Sleep quality is a mega trend of the next decade and the materials we use in our beds are as well. That is why at Heimtextil there will be a Smart Bedding area entirely dedicated to the quality of our sleep where it will be possible:

- purchasing the relevant products (retail and wholesale, but also private labels and international volume buyers),

- participate in a guided tour with a focus on mattresses and bed sheets, or

- attend the Sleep & More Conference dedicated to healthy sleep.

Several national and international experts speak and discuss with the audience at the Healthy Sleep Conference about sustainable materials, bedding and their influence on our sleep. The topics are multifaceted: from sleep myths to scientific facts about post-corona sleep, via sleep-tracking technology to hemp fabric and its benefits.

I have the pleasure to participate as a speaker at the Sleep & more conference and present hemp fabric. In particular, in my talk I will discuss the history of hemp as bedding, its benefits and possible uses, and conclude with the aspect of the circular economy and reuse of the material. The detailed programme of the Sleep & more conference can be found at the following link.
